Garden Competition Finalists Named
Published:
The entries for the new school garden have been whittled down to three finalists…
Shropshire Festivals has teamed up with Morris Property to launch a competition for a local school to win a new school garden.
We have been inundated with entries from local primary schools. Entries are now closed.
A huge thank you to all the children who have worked so hard on their designs and to the schools who have entered.
There was a mix of entries, some were designed by one pupil picked by the school, and others took the opportunity to design a space as a group. It’s clear that all the children who took part put a lot of time and thought into their designs.
The results were brilliant, varied, and very creative. We were blown away by the details some of the children thought of, with recycled materials, mindful areas, protection for creepie crawlies, and growing their own flowers, vegetables and fruit.
The fantastic team at Morris Property had the difficult job of whittling down the entries to the final three.
They’ve now picked the finalists, who are…
St Mary's Bluecoat C of E Primary School
Woodlands Primary School
Christ Church CE Primary School
Well done to those schools, and sorry to all the entries that didn’t make it through. The quality of the designs was very high!
The top three designs will be displayed at the Shrewsbury Food Festival on the 24 and 25 June. Please visit the Field to Fork area at the top of the Quarry to view the finalists and cast your vote.
Morris Property will build the winning design and provide the materials and plants for the winning school.
We are very grateful to Morris Property for making this project possible and giving a school in our community a place that will be enjoyed for years to come.
It is great to be working with such a successful Shropshire business, which shares our ethos of giving back to the local community.
Best of luck to the finalists!
